Chairman’s Message

Chairman of the SNEC 2020 Scientific Conference:
Prof Armin ABERLE
CEO, Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS)

The world’s largest PV Expo in 2020 - the SNEC 14th (2020) International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition - will take place in Shanghai, China from 25-27 May 2020.

It is my great pleasure to invite you to the SNEC 2020 Scientific Conference, which runs in parallel to the PV EXPO, from 26-27 May 2020, and in immediate proximity to the exhibition halls. China is a global powerhouse in PV, both as a manufacturer and as a market. Its leading role in PV manufacturing is undisputed and thus SNEC 2020 is a must-attend event to present your latest scientific-technical results.

The SNEC 2020 Scientific Conference provides an excellent platform for the world’s PV experts and scientists to showcase and share the latest developments in solar energy technologies. The conference programme encompasses a wide scope of PV technologies, ranging from silicon feedstock, PV materials, cells, modules, systems, quality assurance and characterisation to smart grid technologies. Some of the topics covered by the SNEC 2020 Scientific Conference are:

           - Silicon feedstock and wafers
           - Silicon wafer solar cells
           - Silicon wafer based PV modules
           - Thin films (materials, cells, modules)
           - Novel PV concepts
           - Quality Assurance
           - Characterisation
           - PV systems
           - Smart grid technologies

The Conference features invited and contributed talks as well as a poster session and a panel discussion. The invited speakers are globally recognized experts in the respective fields.

The deadline for abstract submission is 5 November 2019.

All abstracts submitted to the SNEC 2020 Scientific Conference will be reviewed and ranked by members of the conference's International Scientific Committee (ISC).
